very limited appointments

Currently not accepting new mobile clients of any kind for any reason. Sorry!
Due to COVID induced limited doctor availability, we have a very limited number of appointment slots available for existing clients only. This will continue for the foreseeable future. We very much appreciate the mobile clients who are willing to make the drive to visit our fixed location offices.

Our Updated COVID-19 Policy:
Hybrid Service Announcement– Phase 1 – Starting July 6th!!

We are excited to announce the re-opening of our doors to our clients at all House Paws locations!

We do have a few guidelines and appreciate in advance your kindness, understanding, and cooperation with us, while we navigate through once again learning a new way of operating in order to continue to keep you, your pets, and our team safe.

Call when you arrive and we will get you checked in over the phone. Please stay in your car until we have a room available – we will come out and get you when it’s ready.

Masks must be worn over your nose and your mouth for the entire visit. No exceptions at this time, even if you are fully vaccinated.

1 person is allowed inside with your pet – if you have children with you we will do a curbside appointment and come out to get your pet as we have been doing this past year. We will allow up to 2 people in the room for end-of-life services.

All Technician appointments, surgery, drop-offs, and medication/retail pick up will continue to remain curbside. Please call when you arrive. A technician will come out and get your pet if you have an appointment, and if you are picking up medication/retail items they will bring these out to you.
If you prefer only curbside for your appointment please let us know when scheduling and we will accommodate.

Thank you again for your patience, we are so excited to see you all again!

House Paws Summer Hours!
House Paws is excited to announce “Summer Fridays” for all of our amazing, hard working employees so they can enjoy a little more relaxation time. After this past year of long hours, hectic schedules, and curbside service, they really do deserve it!

Starting June 25th all of our hospitals will be closing at 12:00 pm Fridays and will be re-opening Mondays at 8:00 am. If you need to get a message to us during these times (or after weekly closing hours), please download the PetDesk App for your House Paws location to send us a message, or send us an email at and someone will respond when we return.

If you are experiencing an emergency during our closing hours please reach out to The Life Center at 703-777-5755.

We are ever so thankful to all of our clients and hope you all get to enjoy a Summer Friday or two, or three! 🙂

Appointment Information

Your appointment start time is a one-hour sliding window before or after the scheduled time.

We do our best to arrive as scheduled but traffic conditions, unanticipated sick calls or other unplanned circumstances at prior appointments will sometimes cause us to be late, early (less usual) or need to reschedule.

We try to accommodate sick pets on the same day you call, if at all possible.

We ask for your understanding if we are late or need to reschedule your routine wellness or follow-up appointment due to a sick call to see other clients’ pet because we would do the same for you.

We will call if we are running late as soon as we know and are able.

You may also E-mail an appointment request:

  • please provide your name
  • return phone number
  • address – at least the city, town or area, so that we can accurately quote the house call fee.
  • the desired day and time
  • the urgency of your request: for example, my pet is very sick (then you should call), I need a wellness visit, I want a second opinion, etc.

Companion Animals

Pets receive comprehensive in-home services – everything but surgery or x-rays in your home.

Horses and other equines receive the best possible state-of-the-art care at your barn.
